About the Role

Our client is a world leading Global Technology Company with a corporate office based in the Melbourne CBD. Their busy office location requires the services of a highly skilled Security Supervisor to oversee and support day-to-day security operations.

The Security Supervisor at this site plays a key role in maintaining the safety, security, and professional standards of the facility. This position requires someone with strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to guide a team of security personnel while ensuring a high level of customer service is consistently delivered.

The successful applicant will work Monday to Friday – 08:00 to 18:00.

General Role Requirements/Responsibilities:

Handle visitors in accordance with the latest HP visitor management process

Perform access control by visually inspecting personnel ID badges at staffed HP access points

Compile and submit required reports to the client in a timely manner

Coordinate response to routine and critical incidents in line with local Emergency Preparedness & Response (EP&R) plans

Provide appropriate crowd control when necessary

Respond to incidents such as accidents, thefts, inappropriate behavior, workplace violence, suspicious activity, and rules violations requiring security intervention

Escalate security concerns immediately to the client Regional Security Manager

Conduct onsite inspection tours and patrols throughout HP space to ensure safety, security, and loss prevention

Remove and escort members of the public who attempt unauthorized access to client spaces

Escort security system maintenance vendors when required by Global Physical Security

Skills, Experience and Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Security Supervisor, with a strong security orientation

Proven ability to perform complex tasks in a demanding work environment

High level of computer proficiency (e.g. Microsoft Office, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Security System Administration)

Strong interpersonal skills with frequent interaction with site management, client personnel, and guests

Hold a current VIC Security Licence

Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011 and HLTAID010) and CPR Certificate (HLTAID009)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

High attention to detail and strong organisational skills

Positive attitude and ability to take initiative

Proficient in multitasking and providing outstanding customer service
