CFO - Scale Up - ASX Listed Tech Group
Appreciating Recruitment Group
Posted 15 days ago
This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a CFO ready to step beyond the traditional and help architect the next stage of growth in a lean, ambitious environment.
Why This Role? This role is not for the faint-hearted. It's for a CFO who thrives in fast-paced, high-change settings, brings a crisp financial narrative to life, and partners with the executive team to drive growth. You’ll operate as a key member of the leadership team, blending financial rigour with strategic and commercial input.
Remuneration
$280,000-$300,000k + Super + STI + LTI
Top Priorities
- Craft and deliver a compelling financial narrative for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the go-to-market strategy and revenue acceleration.
- Embed cost discipline and scalable systems.
- Improve contract and risk oversight.
- Build and develop a high-performing finance team.
What You’ll Bring
- A strategic mindset and board-ready communication style.
- SaaS or tech-enabled business exposure (or equivalent commercial environments).
- ASX/Listed business experience
- Deep understanding of enterprise sales, growth levers, and capital planning.
- Proven ability to lead M&A or fundraising activity.
- Experience managing contract risk and insurance frameworks.
- Leadership across finance, product, ops, and GTM functions.
- A genuine ability to translate financial insight into action.
Who This Role Suits
- You thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
- You want to help shape a business—not just manage one.
- You value collaboration over hierarchy.
- You can get hands-on, but always keep strategy in view.
- You’re excited by the challenge of building a finance team and legacy.
Who This Role Won’t Suit
- You need a highly structured or traditional corporate environment.
- You prefer process over pace.
- You operate solely as a financial controller.
- You find ambiguity or constant change uncomfortable.
What’s On Offer
- Equity upside directly linked to value creation and agreed KPIs.
- Strong influence at the executive and board level.
- The chance to make a defining mark on a listed business.
Location & Collaboration This is a high-collaboration role based in Sydney. While occasional remote work is supported, the nature of the position requires regular in-person interaction with the CEO and leadership team. The current finance team is lean, giving you the opportunity to shape and scale it from the ground up.
