Make a meaningful difference with us:

We want people who are great as individuals, and even better in a team.

As a Workforce Bargaining Specialist, you will be instrumental in advancing UnitingCare’s enterprise bargaining strategy. This newly created role offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the development, coordination, and negotiation of enterprise agreements that reflect our organisational values and strategic priorities.

You will take the lead on less complex agreements, managing the drafting of templates and clauses to ensure consistency, legal compliance, and clarity. Your expertise will also support the implementation and education phases post-approval, helping leaders and teams understand and apply agreement outcomes effectively.

Please note, this is a full time, permanent position. Flexibility is important to us, and we know it is to you, too - this role supports hybrid working.

Your part in our UnitingCare team:

Draft and maintain enterprise agreement templates and standardised clauses to support consistency across the organisation, ensuring all agreement documentation complies with relevant industrial legislation and organisational policy.

Drive or co-lead negotiations for less complex enterprise agreements under the guidance of the Manager.

Coordinate and prepare documentation to support bargaining meetings, including evidence, data, and rationale for proposed changes.

Assist in stakeholder consultation, union engagement, and internal communications throughout the bargaining process.

Support the implementation of approved agreements, including communication plans, leader education and collaboration with Payroll and HRIS for system configuration.

Maintain tracking tools and documentation to monitor bargaining progress across multiple agreements.

What makes a difference for us?

Tertiary qualifications in Law, Human Resources or Industrial Relations, with demonstrated experience in enterprise bargaining, including preparation, negotiation support, and documentation in a complex or multi-agreement environment.

Strong understanding of the Fair Work Act 2009, modern awards and enterprise agreement frameworks, including the approval process and BOOT requirements

Proven ability to draft clear, compliant, and operationally sound clauses within industrial instruments, with the ability to explain industrial content to non-technical audiences.

Experience engaging with unions and employee representatives, with an ability to manage respectful, outcomes-focused discussions.

What makes a difference for you?
