About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Surgical Services team as a Registered Nurse where you will be responsible for:
- Providing nursing and/or midwifery services across a range of health service settings
- Developing from novice to proficient practitioner through continuous professional development and experience
- Accepting accountability for own standards of care and for tasks delegated to others
- Delivering nursing services in primary, secondary, tertiary, or quaternary care settings
- Being accountable and responsible for delivering quality care to clients/patients and their families
- Collaborating with other health professionals and working in partnership with women, children, youth, families, and external agencies to ensure optimal health outcomes
- Providing education and information to clients and families
- Offering support, guidance, and education to students, nurses, and other health professionals
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate
- Effective communication skills including, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to prioritise workload.
- Ability to be, creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within a healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing consumer/client and family centred care.
- Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
