Our 18 strong national sales team have a strong focus on end user engagement, with sales channelled through our existing national distribution partners.
Our national distribution warehouses on the east and west coasts of Australia and north island of New Zealand ensure operational excellence across Australasia.
We’re looking for an experienced and driven National Category Manager - Respiratory Products to lead the development, launch, and marketing of these exciting new products through our distribution network. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with both our manufacturing partner, marketing and sales team to shape the future of respiratory protection solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
· Product Development Collaboration: Work directly with our manufacturing partner to guide the product development process, ensuring that the new PAPR system and exclusive respirators are aligned with market needs and safety standards. Play an integral role in shaping product features and refining designs based on feedback from key stakeholders and customer insights.
· Category Leadership: Oversee the strategic direction of the respiratory product portfolio, driving growth, market share, and product adoption. Ensure a consistent and strong market presence for the PAPR and respirator lines.
· Market Strategy & Analysis: Lead market research to understand customer needs, competitor offerings, and industry trends. Develop data-driven strategies to position the products effectively in the marketplace.
· Go-to-Market Strategy & Launches: Partner with the marketing team to create compelling product messaging, launch plans, promotional campaigns, and sales enablement materials. Ensure product features and benefits are effectively communicated to the market and customers.
· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with internal teams (marketing, sales, R&D, and manufacturing) to ensure alignment on product features, messaging, and launch strategies. Provide ongoing product training and support for sales teams and distributors.
· Customer Engagement: Build relationships with key end users, distributors, and industry influencers to understand their needs and gather feedback that informs product and marketing strategies. Ensure the products meet the highest standards for customer satisfaction.
· Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Track product performance through sales data, customer feedback, and market analysis. Continuously optimize strategies to drive adoption, meet revenue targets, and ensure the success of the product portfolio.
Qualifications:
· Experience: 5+ years of experience in category management, product development, or marketing, preferably within the industrial safety sectors, with a focus on respiratory products.
· Product Development Knowledge: Strong understanding of product development processes, particularly in collaboration with manufacturing partners. Experience in guiding product features, design iterations, and ensuring regulatory compliance is a plus.
· Marketing Expertise: Proven track record in collaborating on marketing campaigns, developing sales enablement materials, and launching new products in the market. Experience with product positioning, competitive analysis, and go-to-market strategies is essential.
· Leadership Skills: Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to manage complex projects and influence teams to execute on vision and strategy.
· Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable initiatives that drive growth and improve product offerings.
· Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create engaging product materials, presentations, and training documents.
· Education: Cert IV WHS preferred but not essential. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field. MBA or other advanced degrees are highly regarded.
