Internal Account Executive - Sports & Trades Specialism

MGA’s North Sydney office is recruiting an Internal Account Executive to work alongside the Account Director (Authorised Representative & Business Owner) on the businesses key Sporting & Construction / Trade Accounts. The role has scope for rapid career advancement, should that align with your career goals.

About the Team

The MGA Sydney / Brisbane team consists of 13 staff, spread across our North Sydney and Toowong (Brisbane) offices. As a business, our primary focus is on delivering an excellence in customer service, providing quality advice to our clients and developing ourselves as insurance professionals.

About the Role

The business requires a qualified Internal Account Executive who is able to work on a mixed portfolio of clients across both Sporting & Trade industries. The role is working directly alongside the business owner on key accounts, including National Sporting Organisations & National Construction / Trade clients with a turnover greater than $20,000,000.

The role is supported by a team Administration Assistant, Claims Administrator in addition to MGA's Central Processing Unit (CPU) that undertake the processing function of the role. With a focus on The successful applicant will be required to undertake the following activities:

Working alongside the Account Director & business owner, the primary function in the role is acting as the primary servicing broker on an existing high-value portfolio of trade & sporting clients, managing the renewal process, mid-term alterations and general account servicing.

Preparing renewal documentation, including recommendations and policy comparisons to provide to clients as part of the renewal process;

Quoting & re-marketing new business opportunities across the range of Sunrise and non-Sunrise insurer platforms - experience with insurer quoting systems is critical - along with producing manual submissions to insurers;

Directing the Administration Assistant & Claims Assistant to ensure relevant documents are issued as required, debtors are managed in a timely manner and claims are lodged immediately.

About You

The successful applicant will have the following skills, experience and attributes to be able to succeed within our business:

High level of proficiency with Sunrise & other insurer quoting systems

A genuine enjoyment in engaging with clients on a daily basis

Passionate about the General Insurance industry

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Able to build rapport with clients over the phone

Quick to return client calls and e-mails

Tier 1 & 2 qualifications

3+ years experience in a broking or broker assistant role

A team player who can also work independently

Strong time management and organisational skills

Hybrid Option

The role is based in our North Sydney office (along with the majority of the team). The role will offer flexibility with regards to an agreed Work From Home schedule, subject to the experience & capability of the candidate.
