Senior Coordinator Engineering Design
Position: Contract - 6 months with potential extension
Local Council - Western Sydney
Rate - $110 per hour

The Role:
As Senior Coordinator - Engineering Design, you'll lead a high-performing team responsible for the design and coordination of stormwater infrastructure under Section 7.11 contributions plans.
Your leadership will ensure the delivery of high-quality, sustainable, and strategically aligned infrastructure that meets the demands of a growing population. You'll play a key role in planning, technical oversight, mentoring, and stakeholder collaboration.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead and manage the design team delivering S7.11 stormwater and road infrastructure projects.
• Oversee design coordination with developers and council teams for North West Growth Area works.
• Ensure designs meet high engineering standards and contribute to safety, urban cooling, amenity and sustainability goals.
• Prepare and review technical engineering policies, plans, and design documentation.
• Manage program timelines, quality, budgets, and performance metrics.
• Contribute to infrastructure planning through review of DCPs, LEPs, SEPPs and contributions plans.

About You:

• Degree-qualified Civil Engineer with CPEng and NER (or working towards).
• Strong background in stormwater, road, and infrastructure design.
• Experience leading teams or mentoring engineers within a local government or consultancy setting.
• Skilled in design software such as AutoCAD, 12D, DRAINS, MUSIC, XP-RAFTS, or TUFLOW.
• Confident communicator and collaborator with a passion for public outcomes.
