We're working with a high-profile NSW Government agency that plays a critical role in upholding public trust and transparency. As their infrastructure evolves to support major digital uplift and operational demands, they're looking for an experienced Senior Wintel Engineer to join the team.

The Role

• Supporting and enhancing a hybrid cloud infrastructure (Azure + Windows Server)
• Administering and optimising M365 services - Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Intune & more
• Troubleshooting and performance tuning across a mission-critical environment
• Working hands-on with Azure IaaS/PaaS - AKS, App Services, Azure SQL, Sentinel, Key Vault, etc.
• Contributing to cyber uplift, cloud migration, and end-user computing for large-scale programs
• Liaising with internal teams and vendors across infrastructure and security projects
• Participating in change, incident, and problem management workflows
• Supporting after-hours upgrades and patching (as required)

Skills & Experience

• 7+ years in infrastructure/Wintel roles
• Strong Windows Server experience (2012-2022), AD, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, VPN, Hyper-V
• 3+ years in Azure cloud environments - hands-on with IaaS & PaaS services
• Proven M365 administration (Exchange, Intune, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, etc.)
• Familiar with PowerShell, BitLocker, Always On VPN, and endpoint protection
• Solid grasp of IAM - EntraID, MFA, Conditional Access, PIM, RBAC
• Bonus: Azure DevOps, Docker/Kubernetes, Microsoft Purview, Infrastructure as Code
• Extra points for government experience or working on cyber uplift/Zero Trust initiatives

• Contract: Until June 2026 (high potential for extension)
• Daily Rate: Up to $950 + Super
• Location: Sydney CBD (hybrid - min. 2 days/week onsite)
• Eligibility: Must have unrestricted working rights, a clean police check, and no political affiliations
• Shutdown period: 22 Dec 2025 - 2 Jan 2026
