Job Advertisement: Maintenance Fitter – Brisbane Airport
Location: Brisbane Airport, QLD
Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:06pm
Pay Rate: $55 per hour +
Employment Type: Temp to Perm (3-month probation)

MPM Marketing Services has been a trusted name in quality disposable foodservice products for over 48 years. As Australia’s only full-service manufacturer and distributor in this sector, we are seeking a qualified Maintenance Fitter to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure maximum uptime

Engage in fitting, fabricating, welding (MIG/TIG) and mechanical repairs of machines and components

Support maintenance of highly automated packaging systems

Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment faults quickly and efficiently

Assist with day-to-day mechanical support across both day and afternoon shifts when required

Contribute to WHS and GMP standards and complete documentation as required

Participate in site projects and improvement initiatives

About You:

Trade qualified in Fitting/Mechanical Engineering (Certificate III or above)

Proven diagnostic and fault-finding skills in a manufacturing or FMCG environment

Experience with stainless steel welding and fabrication (highly regarded)

Forklift licence – bonus if current

Computer literate (basic skills in Outlook, SAP, CMMS etc.)

Familiar with GMP and Food Safety practices (experience in food manufacturing desirable)

Committed to safety, reliable, and detail-focused

Available for full-time work with potential for weekend/overtime shifts
