An opportunity currently exists for a Maintenance Fitter based at our Yatala Site on a permanent full-time basis. This role is responsible for the efficient and effective maintenance and repair of all plant and machinery by fitting and assembling metal parts and assisting with scheduled preventative maintenance according to Australian Standards, relevant regulations, and manuals for the Yatala operations.

Key accountabilities include:

Supporting the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure maintenance goals are met.

Undertaking all work in compliance with Health and Safety legislation and Allied Pinnacle Safety Policies.

Perform preventative maintenance activities in accordance with designated schedules.

Performing mechanical breakdown maintenance tasks including assessment of faults and repairing mechanical parts and equipment as required.

Notifying the Maintenance Supervisor when parts and consumables require replacement.

Taking a proactive approach to plant improvement, Quality, HACCP, Environmental and Safety process improvements.

Ensure compliance with site WHS policies and procedures.

Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards with regards to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and general housekeeping.

The successful applicant will possess:

Fitter, Mechanical or Maintenance Trade Qualifications.

3 years of proven maintenance trade experience.

Knowledge and/or experience in a food manufacturing environment.

Experience and knowledge of Lean manufacturing practises and processes.

The ability to operate autonomously and with minimal supervision; and

Strong problem solving and communications skills.

Base Pay Rate (excluding super) $45-$50 per hour ($88,920 - $98,800p.a).
