Our Client is a trusted name in the steel industry, providing high-quality steel products and reliable service to their clients across Melbourne. Based in Braeside, they supply a wide range of metals including spring steel, stainless, galvanized, hot and cold rolled steel, aluminum, and coil.

The Role:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Forklift Operator to join the warehouse team. The role involves operating a 2.5 T and a 5 T forklift, loading and unloading trucks and operating an overhead crane.

Key Responsibilities:

Use overhead crane systems to move and position steel materials

Safely load and unload steel products onto and from trucks

Operate forklifts (counterbalance and/or high reach) (2.5 tonne and 5 tonne) efficiently

Maintain a clean and safe workspace

Follow all workplace health and safety procedures

Work collaboratively with warehouse and logistics teams

Requirements:

Valid forklift licence and demonstrated experience

Experience operating overhead cranes (desirable but training can be provided for the right candidate)

Ability to handle long and heavy steel products safely

Good communication and teamwork skills

Physically fit and reliable

Previous experience in a steel or heavy industrial environment is an advantage
