About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Teacher of Information Technology to join our Business, Advanced Manufacturing & Logistics team. In this role, you will deliver engaging and industry-relevant education that supports students in achieving their learning and career goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver training and assessment aligned with VET and curriculum requirements
- Support student engagement, attendance and outcomes
- Maintain teaching and compliance documentation
- Participate in industry consultation and curriculum development
- Provide pastoral and academic support to students
- Engage in quality assurance and continuous improvement activities
- Maintain vocational and industry currency
Skills and Experience Required
- IT networking and network security (CISCO CCNA, Cisco Security certification or willingness to certify)
- Operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Programming (Python, Bash scripting)
- Security operations (SOC, SIEM tools, incident response, etc.)
- Penetration testing
- Threat intelligence
- Security architecture (IAM, cryptography, security engineering)
- Information security governance
- Cloud computing (AWS/Azure Solutions Architect certification or willingness to certify)
- Appropriate post-secondary qualifications and recent industry experience
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent)
- Demonstrated skills in at least 5 of the following areas:
- Understanding of adult learning principles and learner-centred teaching
- Strong planning, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with ICT tools for e-learning and reporting
Additional Requirements
Successful candidate will be required to provide:
- A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- A National Police Check
