About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Teacher of Information Technology to join our Business, Advanced Manufacturing & Logistics team. In this role, you will deliver engaging and industry-relevant education that supports students in achieving their learning and career goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver training and assessment aligned with VET and curriculum requirements
• Support student engagement, attendance and outcomes
• Maintain teaching and compliance documentation
• Participate in industry consultation and curriculum development
• Provide pastoral and academic support to students
• Engage in quality assurance and continuous improvement activities
• Maintain vocational and industry currency

Skills and Experience Required

• IT networking and network security (CISCO CCNA, Cisco Security certification or willingness to certify)
• Operating systems (Windows, Linux)
• Programming (Python, Bash scripting)
• Security operations (SOC, SIEM tools, incident response, etc.)
• Penetration testing
• Threat intelligence
• Security architecture (IAM, cryptography, security engineering)
• Information security governance
• Cloud computing (AWS/Azure Solutions Architect certification or willingness to certify)

• Appropriate post-secondary qualifications and recent industry experience
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent)
• Demonstrated skills in at least 5 of the following areas:
• Understanding of adult learning principles and learner-centred teaching
• Strong planning, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Experience with ICT tools for e-learning and reporting

Additional Requirements

Successful candidate will be required to provide:

• A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  
• A National Police Check
