The Role:

As a Junior School Casual Relief Teacher, you'll step into classrooms from Prep to Year 6, delivering engaging lessons and maintaining a supportive learning environment in the absence of the regular teacher.

Flexibility to work across both our Kew and Donvale campuses is highly valued.

The Average Day:

• Step into a variety of classrooms across the Junior School, bringing energy and adaptability to each new learning environment.
• Deliver engaging, pre-planned lessons that support student learning and maintain classroom continuity.
• Build quick rapport with students, fostering a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.
• Support student wellbeing by providing calm, consistent guidance throughout the day.
• Collaborate with fellow staff to ensure smooth transitions, effective supervision, and a positive learning experience for all.

The Person:

To be successful in this position, you will be:

• Passionate about supporting student learning and aligned with Carey's values of care, respect, and growth.
• A confident and adaptable educator who thrives in diverse classroom settings.
• Skilled in classroom management, maintaining a calm and professional approach.
• Warm, approachable, and able to build quick rapport with students.
• An effective communicator and collaborative team member.

A valid Victorian Institute Teaching (VIT) registration is a requirement of employment in this position.
