Primary purpose of the role
The Project Manager is responsible for supporting and managing the delivery of capital works infrastructure projects, including new buildings, refurbishments, and upgrades. Working under the guidance of a Senior Project Manager, the role ensures that projects are delivered in line with Departmental policies, stakeholder needs, and regulatory requirements. The Project Manager is involved in all phases of the project lifecycle and ensures effective coordination across consultants, contractors, and internal teams.

Key accountabilities
- Manage assigned infrastructure projects or workstreams from planning through to delivery and close-out.
- Coordinate procurement processes and manage consultant and contractor performance to ensure delivery to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Maintain project documentation including project plans, risk registers, contract variations and progress reports.
- Support stakeholder engagement with school staff, community members, and local authorities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor site works and contractor activities, escalating issues to the Senior Project Manager as required.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, departmental policies, and construction standards.

Essential requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in project management, engineering, construction, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated project management experience, ideally in infrastructure or education projects.
- Knowledge of construction contracts, procurement practices and project reporting.
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence and ability to travel across NSW.
Start Date : ASAP
End Date : 12 months from the start date
Pay Rate : $800 per day
Hours of Work: 8 hours per day / 40 hours per week
