The Role

We are seeking an exceptional Sous Chef to join our dynamic team at Goulburn Brewery. As Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring the delivery of consistently high-quality, innovative cuisine that delights our guests. This full-time position is based in our brewery located in Goulburn, NSW 2580.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in planning, organising and directing all food preparation and kitchen operations

Lead, mentor and motivate the kitchen team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment

Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene standards at all times

Develop and refine recipes, plating and presentation to elevate the dining experience

Manage inventory, ordering and stock control to minimise waste and maintain efficiency

Collaborate with the management team to create and implement seasonal menus

Provide exceptional customer service and a commitment to exceeding guest expectations

What We're Looking For

Minimum 3 years' experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team

Excellent culinary skills and a keen eye for detail, with a passion for creating visually appealing and flavoursome dishes

Solid understanding of food costing, inventory management and efficient kitchen operations

Passion for using locally sourced, seasonal produce and a commitment to sustainable practices

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with the management team and guests
