Our services include therapy services, short- and long-term accommodation, a young adults day program, and a school holiday program for children. Our Therapy Team is growing, providing on-site, in-home and telehealth support for kids, teens and young adults with complex disabilities.
The Role
We’re looking for a motivated and client-focused Senior Speech Pathologist to join our growing team on a permanent part-time basis.
Location: Allowah, Dundas Valley + WFH & community visits
Employment Type: 22.8- 30.4 hrs/week (3-4 x 7.6 hour days – must include Wednesdays)
Remuneration: $83,600 - $125,400 per annum pro-rata (dependent on experience) + superannuation. Health Professionals and Support Services Award 2020 (Level 3 or 4, dependent on experience)

Skills We're Looking For!
Communication ― Written and verbal, to communicate across diverse groups
Teamwork ― Connect and build rapport with clients, families, management and staff at all levels
Flexibility ― Be able to deliver services at times and places and in ways that work best for clients and their families
Reliability ― Demonstrated through a strong worth ethic, meeting commitments and deadlines
Empathy ― Providing trauma-informed care that puts the client at the heart of what you do
Essential Criteria
Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology, membership with Speech Pathology Australia, Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist status and a commitment to maintain throughout your employment with Allowah
Current NSW Drivers’ License, reliable car and a willingness to travel across Sydney to provide supports to people in their homes.
A minimum of 3 years post-grad clinical experience as a Speech Pathologist.
Comfortable using cloud-based software
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously including strong time management skills.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Demonstrated excellent communication skills with a wide variety of stakeholders – children, adolescents and adults with disability, parents, care staff, other health professionals etc.

NDIS Workers Check
Police Check
Department of Communities & Justice Check
Desirable
Experience managing complex swallowing disorders
Experience managing complex communication disorders
Experience with augmentative and alternative communication principles and systems
Experience in service development
Experience in providing Clinical Supervision and the supervision of Level 1 and 2 Allied Health Professionals, Allied Health Assistants and/or students.
Experience working with children and young adults with complex disabilities and people in complex social situations
