Role Title: Residential Service Lead
Employment Type: Full Time (76 hours a fortnight) / Fixed term (until June 5th 2026)
Location: Mitcham, Victoria
Salary: $86,776 p.a. plus super and NFP salary packaging
Bring your passion to our Supported Independent Living team in Mitcham, where you will lead by example, nurturing and encouraging a home environment that enables every resident to enjoy a quality lifestyle aligned with their unique goals and aspirations.
The position responsibilities include:
- Oversee 2 houses catering to 9 clients and empower them in their decision-making and goal planning, whilst emphasizing the importance of continued relationships with family and loved ones.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and support to a dedicated team of Disability Support Workers including permanent and casual staff.
- Implement, monitor, and review staff performance, and hold regular house meetings, and individual supervision.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including care teams, day service programs, and families.
- Join a supportive and collaborative team of Team Leaders/ Residential Service Leads, who will support you in your new role.
- Make the Complex Simple. Engage in continuous process improvement, where your feedback is highly valued, and positive changes are actively implemented based on your insights.
- Please note the role is 76 hours a fortnight (full time) with varied shifts from Monday to Friday which include dedicated admin times, and direct client support.
Essential Skills
- Experience leading small teams and the demonstrated ability to provide practice leadership
- Understanding if the NDIS and relevant State and Commonwealth legislation / regulation relevant to Service Delivery
- An understanding of client programming and person-centred active support models
- High level of computer literacy and effective time management skills
- Knowledge of various issues facing people with disabilities, dual and multiple
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team, good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, plus a genuine and passionate commitment to the rights of people with a disability to enjoy fulfilled lives and valued roles within the community
Essential Personal Attributes
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Good understanding of ethics
- Commitments to the rights of people with disabilities
- To be able to work as a team
Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Disability or relevant qualification in a similar field or willingness to obtain
- Hold a valid Australian driver's licence in State or Territory of employment
- NDIS Worker Screening check
Desirable
- Proficient in Auslan
