About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Business Development Manager. You will be responsible for driving new business growth and expanding the company's customer base within the Brisbane and greater Queensland region. This is a full-time role based in our Brisbane office.

What you'll be doing

Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across a range of industry sectors

Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers

Conducting market research to identify trends and potential areas for growth

Preparing and delivering compelling sales proposals and presentations

Negotiating contracts and closing sales deals

Collaborating with the wider sales and marketing teams to develop effective strategies

Providing regular progress reports and contributing to the overall sales planning process

What we're looking for

Proven track record of success in new business development, ideally within the steel flat products industry

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers at all levels

Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with a commercial mindset

Highly organised and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently

Familiarity with the Brisbane and Queensland Sheet and Coil steel distribution landscape and an understanding of the local market

Experience in sales, with a knowledge of Steel Plate, Coated and Uncoated Sheet and Coil, Stainless and Aluminum flat products.
