About the role

Asayish Comfort Care is seeking a Disability Support Worker to join our team on a contract basis. In this essential role, you will provide personalised care and support to individuals living with disabilities in the Sydney area. What you'll be doing

Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping

Facilitate participation in social, recreational, and community-based activities to promote independence and inclusion

Monitor client wellbeing and report any changes or concerns to the care team

Advocate for client needs and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic support

Maintain accurate documentation and records in line with organisational policies and procedures

Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development opportunities

What we're looking for

Relevant qualification in disability support, community services, or a related field

Previous experience working with individuals living with disabilities, preferably in a community-based setting

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively

Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to supporting the independence and wellbeing of clients

A flexible and adaptable approach to meet the evolving needs of clients

A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle is highly desirable
