The Moorings Restaurant & Bar, located at the Derwent Sailing Squadron, is on the lookout for a casual Front of House Supervisor to join our vibrant friendly crew.

We’re a welcoming, community-focused club with a beautiful waterfront location in Sandy Bay. As Supervisor, you’ll work closely with our Food & Beverage Manager to ensure a high standard of service for our members and guests while also supporting and mentoring our team.

What the role involves:

Consistently leading by example – setting the standard for service, teamwork, and professionalism

Supporting and mentoring junior staff, helping build a positive and professional team culture

Pitching in wherever needed to ensure smooth, high-quality service for our members and guests

Working a mix of weekdays and weekends – flexibility and a team-first attitude are essential

20+ hours per week, with more available over the summer

What we’re looking for:

2+ years’ experience in a supervisory role in hospitality

A hands-on, proactive approach and strong customer service skills

Someone who’s confident running a shift, but also happy to support and guide others

Availability for a mix of day and evening shifts, including weekends
