The Sycamore School is an independent school for Prep to Year 10 young people from the autistic community. Its focus is on improving life quality outcomes. The Facilities and Ground Officer is a part-time role equivalent to 3 days per week. Your time may be spread over 5 days.
As the Facilities and Grounds Officer your key accountabilities will be:
Being hands-on in providing maintenance and grounds preventative and adhoc services including the general care of all grounds and facilities and day to day property and equipment maintenance.
Creating and sustaining a safe and productive work environment for young people, staff and visitors.
Liaising with and coordinating cleaning companies and engage, induct and manage external contractors.
To be considered for the role you should have:
Experience in a similar role (maintenance and grounds/gardens)
A capacity to perform heavy lifting, general maintenance duties for extended periods of time.
Basic knowledge and use of computer software systems specifically Excel and Office 365 programs.
Possess or be eligible to gain a Working with Children Check (Blue Card) is essential.
Have the right to live and work in Australia.
