What will you be working on as a Quality Engineer ?

Create test code for product(s), preferably in a BDD or TDD fashion

Code reviews via pull requests

System, System integration and Exploratory testing

Documentation of test coverage & cases

Use of JIRA for quality assurance

Assist with process improvements

Ensure that high quality software and services are produced through quality engineering practices

What experience do you need to become a Quality Engineer?

Proficiency in languages like Pyton, C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript. Python & JavaScript are preferred

Ability to apply the Page Object Model for Web automation

Knowledge of other design patterns are preferable (factory and abstract factory patterns)

Proficiency in middleware testing and associated tools

Knowledge of developing Mock Services

Proficiency in writing SQL

Knowledge of Data Driven Testing techniques

Proficiency using testing frameworks

Proficiency in using distributed source and version control tools

Knowledge of session-based testing

Education

Minimum of 4 years of experience in a Quality/Test Engineering role

ISTQB Advanced or Expert Level Certification would be highly regarded

Experience with Puppeteer / Playwright is a plus.
