About the Role
We’re seeking a QA Lead for a hybrid role in Sydney, combining 50% hands-on testing with 50% leadership for one of Sydney's leading organisation.

You'll guide a team of 15 QA engineers while contributing directly to test automation and quality assurance across frontend, backend, and APIs—particularly in .NET and Java environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 15 QA engineers.
• Drive test strategy and quality processes across the SDLC.
• Develop and maintain automated tests, especially for APIs.
• Collaborate with dev, product, and DevOps to ensure test coverage.
• Track QA metrics and continuously improve test practices.

Requirements

• 8+ years in QA, with at least 3 years in a lead role.
• Should be strong with driving a Shift-Left approach to testing.
• Strong in manual and automated testing, especially API testing.
• Hands-on experience with .NET and Java applications.
• Familiar with frontend testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Hybrid work model – 3 days per week in Sydney office.

Nice to Have

• Performance testing (e.g., JMeter).
• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• QA certifications (e.g., ISTQB).

The day rate is negotiable depending on experience.
