Client Services Officer

$35.11 per hour (casual rate) + super

Small Sprouts Therapy is a warm and welcoming paediatric speech pathology clinic in Mt Sheridan, with a vision to further support the communities in which we work. The opportunity has arisen for a casual Client Services Officer to join our team.

The role of the Client Services Officer is to provide professional and efficient customer support, while providing administration services to therapists and directors. The role encompasses a range of office and administration responsibilities that aim to ensure therapy services can be delivered efficiently and effectively throughout the practice, as well as contributing to the ongoing development of the business.

This role is for casual hours (3-12 hours per week). All hours would be between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. A roster will be available one fortnight in advance. Rate of pay is as per the Health Professional and Support Services Award - support services employees, commencing at Level 5 ($35.11 per hour plus superannuation). The ideal candidate would be available to start immediately.

Role responsibilities include:

Meeting and greeting clients in a professional and courteous manner

Responding to client enquiries and new referrals

Ensuring client files are managed confidentially and efficiently

Ordering and keeping inventory of office supplies and stock

Assisting therapists to prepare, create and manage resources

General tidying and managing infection control of the clinic

Attending to Directors requests

About Us:

Small Sprouts Therapy is a private speech pathology clinic located on the southern side of Cairns, Far North QLD. Therapists at Small Sprouts provide speech pathology assessment, therapy and support to children aged 0-12 years, and their families in clinic, day care or kindergarten settings. We provide individual and group therapy services, and provide capacity building services to parents, carers, and educators in our community. At Small Sprouts, we are passionate about supporting our clients and their families to grow and develop functional skills.

Our team currently consists of six speech pathologists and one part-time support staff. We promote a culture of inclusion as well as continuous personal and professional development. We strongly value creativity, outside of the box thinking and a genuine passion for paediatric work.

Our clients include; children with mild and complex communication needs, complex medical diagnoses and developmental disabilities, children who have culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds and those who have complex social backgrounds, including children in out of home care.

About You:

The ideal candidate for the role of Client Services Officer would have the following skills and experience:

High quality interpersonal skills

Exceptional spoken and written communication

Time management and prioritization skills

Confidence to learn and use computer systems including an online practice management system

The ability to work independently and within a team

The ability to adapt to changing environments and problem solve independently

Eligibility Criteria:

Current federal police check (or ability to obtain one)

Queensland Blue Card (or ability to obtain one)

Unrestricted Driver’s licence
