Key Responsibilities:
As an Advanced or Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner your responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Provide practice leadership across various settings, guiding and supporting stakeholders.
- Develop and implement high quality evidence based individualised behaviour support plans within required timeframes.
- Apply advanced clinical reasoning skills and evidence-based practice to all service delivery.
- Deliver training and support plans for participants, staff, and families in positive behaviour support and specialist topics.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring a holistic and integrated approach to care.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including disability providers, mainstream services and the NDIA.
- Assist individuals and families in identifying needs, developing meaningful goals, and implementing practical strategies for home and community settings.
- Stay informed on best practices in service delivery, policy changes, and emerging trends in positive behaviour support.
About You!
We are looking for a skilled Behaviour Support Practitioner who has:
- Experience working as an Advanced Behaviour Support Practitioner as assessed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguard Commission. We are also open to employing skilled Behaviour Support Practitioners who are nearing eligibility for Advanced suitability.
- Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to communicate concisely and effectively
- Demonstrate high-level critical thinking and analytical skills to make effective decisions in complex situations
- Experience providing support and supervision to Behaviour Support Practitioners.
- Demonstrate high-level critical thinking and analytical skills to make effective decisions in complex situations
- Expert knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support including functional behaviour assessments, intervention and service delivery practices and restrictive practice authorisation processes.

Requirements
To be eligible, you must have or willing to complete:
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
- (Advanced BSP - NDIS Proficiency Endorsement)
