Male Support Worker – Mental Health & Behavioural Support (After School Hours)

About Us
At Outlook Community Services, we are committed to empowering individuals with disabilities and mental health challenges to live full, independent lives. We are currently seeking a dedicated male support worker to assist a young client in Wesburn, Victoria during after-school hours.
About the Role
You will provide one-on-one support to a young person with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex mental health needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in positive behaviour support and be calm, consistent, and reliable.
Shift Availability
Monday to Thursday: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Additional hours may become available
Key Responsibilities
Provide individualised in-home and community-based support
Implement and follow established behaviour support strategies
Support emotional regulation and promote independence
Assist with daily routines and community access
Work closely with the client's care team and maintain documentation
What We're Looking For
Male support worker (in line with client’s support preferences)
Proven experience supporting individuals with mental health needs and ASD
Confident in using positive behaviour support approaches
Reliable, empathetic, and able to work independently
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Essential Requirements
Certificate III or IV in Disability, Mental Health, or Community Services (or equivalent)
Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
Valid National Police Check
First Aid and CPR certification
Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle (preferred)
