About the Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll play a key role in the pre-opening setup of Caption by Hyatt Central Sydney.
Working as the Financial Clerk, you will assist in the successful day-to-day running of the Accounts Department. Your key focus will be to maintain the efficient processing of accounts payable transactions, as well as performing additional accounting and financial tasks as required.
Some Key Responsibilities
Support the pre-opening setup by assisting with the finalisation hotel policies and procedures, preparation for audit documentation and reconciling expenses.
Maintaining and updating the Accounts Receivable ledger.
Reconciliation and following up with all received credit card payments, including processing refund requests.
Upload bank transfer files for payment processing.
Review daily revenue and make corrections as needed.
Process and code daily invoices.
Assist with preparing month end inventory balances, pre-payment schedules, open purchase order review and analysis of costs.
Attend to other adhoc tasks as instructed by Finance Manager.
What you will bring to the role:
A degree in accounting or finance is essential.
Previous experience in a hotel accounting environment is preferred.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail.
Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Full working rights in Australia.
