ClearSky Allied Health is hiring multiple Behavioural Support Practitioners to support our NDIS clients in Brisbane, Gold Coast and Toowoomba. About the opportunity
An exciting, newly created role exists for a highly motivated Behavioural Support Practitioners to join our team. This is a chance to be part of something exciting, to grow with our organisation, and to be a part of a collaborative, energetic, multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
Conduct assessments and develop Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs) and associated documentation in an NDIS setting.
Provide consultation and implement PBSPs for participants under restrictive practice provisions.
Collaborate with participants, their families, service providers, and government agencies.
Ensure compliance with legislation, policies, and practices in disability care, forensic disability, child protection, aged care, youth justice, and health care.
Maintain high-level computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other systems.
Prepare high-quality reports within specified deadlines.
Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously and take ownership of a caseload of participants.
Promote a positive and constructive environment for participants and their families.
Qualifications & Experience
Hold a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Psychology, Health Science, Behavioural Science, Education, or another related field.
Preferable experience in Psychology, Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, or other Allied Health areas.
Pre-existing registration as a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner with the NDIS Commissioner (preferred)
At least 5 years’ experience working in Disability, Child Protection, or within a positive behavioural framework.
Demonstrated ability to interact with participants, their families and service providers.
Demonstrated knowledge of legislation
Ability to work to productivity targets.
Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment as well as autonomously and take ownership of a caseload of participants.
Hold or have the ability to obtain a WWCC (Blue Card), NDIS Worker Screening, First Aid & CPR.
Hold a valid Australian driver’s license.
