Located in the lively Parkside Plaza Shopping Centre, The Doctors Mackay is seeking a Practice Nurse.

The hours of work between Tuesdays 8am – 5pm, with possible relief work if available.

Relationships and communication with our patients is the heart of our practice.

Criteria:

Essential:

• Registered nurse: Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Adaptable and open to change and innovation
• Current CPR & First Aid certificates

Desirable:

• Previous experience in General Practice, but not essential
• Knowledge of childhood and adult immunisations
• Experience in chronic disease management
• Computer skills (previous experience in Best Practice would be highly desirable but not essential)
• Ability to multi-task with workflow of a treatment room

Duties:

• Patient triage
• Immunisations and other injections
• Recalls
• ECG’s, Spirometry and ear syringing
• Wound management procedures and support GP’s during minor surgery
• Care plans, health assessments and support patients with chronic illnesses
• Equipment sterilisation
• Pre Employment Assessment
• Drug Screening
• Audiometry
