Your Opportunity

This is a newly created role to support a growing and successful business and offers you a chance to use your extensive plant health and plant care knowledge and your supervisory skills, in a hands-on leadership role.

Reporting to the Operations Manager and working closely with the Managing Director, and directly with clients, you will be the Leading hand and team manager, looking after a team of plant technicians and nursery staff to ensure the highest quality of customer service, scheduling and plant maintenance.

You will work side by side with the Managing Director and have to prioritise, think on your feet to solve issues, and add value internally and with customers.

In addition to remaining hands-on in driving, delivery and in terms of plant maintenance, you will ensure that your team executes installations and maintenance runs to the highest standard, on time, with efficiency and expertise.

This customer service focussed, leadership role will use your strong organisational skills and will suit a proactive leader who cares deeply for their team, for the customer and for plant care and maintenance.

Your Profile

• Formal qualifications in Horticulture or a related discipline (ideal).
• Also, it is essential that you have a number of years' experience in plant care, disease management and environmental suitability, gained in horticulture, landscaping or plant maintenance, so you can bring technical expertise needed to succeed in this role and to lead your team.
• Must have a valid drivers licence and ideally other licences or a willingness to obtain them (eg Medium Rigid, Forklift, Elevated Work Platform.)
• There will be some administrative work involved, therefore you should be comfortable using Excel and be able to pick up new systems quickly.
• You must be a natural leader to mentor a technical team and have a strong work ethic as well as a proven ability to make customer satisfaction and service, a priority.
• A high level of professionalism is expected as you will be representing this organisation across NSW including to corporate customers in the Sydney CBD.
