An exciting opportunity exists for a Purchasing Specialist to join the Oil & Gas division of a national organisation delivering first class service and products to customers around the country.
This is an exciting and challenging role within the Oil & Gas team that exists to meet the requirements of our major Oil & Gas Client. This role is based in our Henderson branch and the Client’s office in Perth CBD.
ARA Marine provides inspection, testing & certification services, together with project & asset management, and products to the Oil & Gas, Defence, Maritime, and Industrial sectors.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Purchasing Specialist to receive purchase requisitions, provide quotes, process orders, receipt goods, and process invoices for our Contract with the Client.

Duties:
Receive purchase requisitions, request and evaluate supplier quotes, create and issue customer quotations, create and issue supplier purchase orders, receipt products, and raise and process customer invoices.
Deal with customer enquiries and resolve matters in an efficient and timely manner.
Liaise and negotiate with suppliers on technical and commercial matters and to expedite delivery of goods.
Coordinate required documentation, certifications, and SDRL’s for product sales.
Support the development and validation of material price books for customer contracts.
Identify potential growth opportunities for the key account and liaise with the Manager Oil & Gas to capitalise on it.
Work with the Contract Manager to continuously improve procurement strategies and maximise profit.
Build strong relationships with the Client, suppliers, and contractors.
Assist in monitoring contractual obligations/deliverables and compliance e.g. KPIs, HSE Reporting.
Essential Criteria:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a Purchasing/Procurement/Key Accounts role within a similar industry.
Strong understanding of all functions associated with acquisition of goods.
Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service.
Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instruction.
Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast‐paced environment.
Strong work ethic, enthusiastic and conscientious with a flexible approach.
Sound computer skills in Microsoft Office
Desirable Criteria:
Previous experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
Previous experience in fire and/or safety equipment and systems.
