The Business

RoadPak Industries is a proudly local, Gladstone-based civil construction company with a reputation for delivering high-quality outcomes across roadworks, earthworks, pipework, drainage and related infrastructure. We are now seeking a skilled Civil Estimator to join us during an exciting phase of growth.

The Opportunity

This full-time, ongoing Civil Estimator role is ideal for someone with a strong trade or site background who enjoys the technical and analytical side of civil construction. You’ll work closely with our Director, Project Managers and Supervisors to scope and cost a wide variety of projects, from roadworks to subdivisions, using software like Groundplan and Excel.

Key responsibilities include:

· Preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions

· Performing quantity take-offs and labour/material assessments

· Attending site inspections and liaising with PMs and Supervisors

· Maintaining and updating estimating systems and pricing libraries

· Supporting pre-start planning, contract negotiation and handovers

About You

To succeed in this role, you'll be someone who thrives in a hands-on, team-oriented environment and enjoys producing practical, well-scoped estimates that win work and set projects up for success.

You will bring:

· A background in civil construction – ideally as a former tradesperson

· Strong numeracy, attention to detail and computer literacy (Excel/Groundplan)

· Experience estimating civil works (roads, pipework, drainage etc.)

· Ability to interpret plans and specifications accurately

· Clear and confident communication skills

· White Card and driver’s licence (essential)

· Diploma or tertiary qualifications in Civil Construction (desirable)
