Working from a brand-new office in the hub of Melbourne's CBD with hybrid working arrangements, this role will be collaborating primarily with the Finance Manager, collaborating with external partners and stakeholders.

The Role

As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will provide strategic support to the CFO and their team in tasks such as reporting requirements, period end close procedures. Join at a pivotal time of expansion as part of a small team, playing a key role in the development in upcoming projects. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Month end close - tasks associated with its completion
• Fixed Assets - full management of the fixed assets module, periodic stock takes, management of the disposal process
• Leases - new leases, accounting existing leases, close expiring leases
• Prepayments - collaborating with accounts payable to automate processes\
• Software development costs - amortisation of existing intangible asset portfolio
• Consultants - costs and payments associated with our network
• Sales commission accrual - working with the Business Development Executive
• Balance sheet reconciliations

Your Profile

You will be a person with excellent communication and organizational skills with high attention to detail. You will have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, being able to well manage competing priorities.

• At least 3-5 years' experience post CA/CPA
• External Audit- experience working with auditors, collating information, responding to Auditor requests;
• Financial Accounting skills - ability to complete a month end close across a variety of accounting items and meet the deadlines is a given; proven experience in researching and writing Accounting Policies;
• Previous experience using Oracle Netsuite highly regarded
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Experience in a ASX listed environment would be highly regarded
