Xpress Hub Pty Ltd t/a Cityplus Tyre and Autocare, located in Truganina, VIC, is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our dedicated team. Operating since 2024, we are a trusted and well-established automotive repair and car rental business serving customers across the western suburbs of Melbourne.

We offer a wide range of mechanical services, including logbook servicing, vehicle inspections, brake repairs, engine repairs, suspension and steering services, clutch and transmission work, tyres, auto electrical and diagnostics, and general vehicle maintenance. Responsibilities and Duties:
As a Motor Mechanic, your key responsibilities will include:

Performing accurate diagnostics of engine, electrical, and mechanical systems using the latest diagnostic tools and equipment.

Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components for inspection and repair.

Conducting brake system repairs, replacements, and inspections to ensure vehicle safety and regulatory compliance.

Fitting and balancing tyres, conducting wheel alignments, and checking tread and tyre pressure.

Performing suspension and steering inspections and repairs to enhance vehicle performance and handling.

Carrying out scheduled logbook services in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.

Completing routine maintenance such as oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups to optimise vehicle performance and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

Maintaining accurate records of services performed and following workshop policies and procedures.

Collaborating with workshop team members to meet service deadlines while maintaining a high standard of work quality.

Qualifications and Experience:
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Certificate IV or higher in Automotive Mechanical Technology or an equivalent qualification.

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within the automotive industry.

Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

A genuine interest in the automotive field and a strong focus on delivering quality service.

High attention to detail and effective time management skills, with the ability to handle tasks in a dynamic workshop environment.

A current and valid Australian driver’s licence.

Proficiency in using modern tools, diagnostic equipment, and workshop systems.
