Job Description

We are looking for a full-time qualified Motor Mechanic at our TRUGANINA AUTO REPAIRS Pty Ltd t/a TRUGANINA AUTO REPAIRS. You will be required to undertake the following duties.

· Diagnosis of automotive vehicles (various makes and models).

· Ability to figure out the fault, repair and provide the best possible solution

· Mechanical repairs include periodic servicing, brake repair, clutches, and timing belt repair/replacement on different makes and models.

· Inspect and run diagnostic tests to discover functional issues.

· Dismantle and replace or repair the defective part or equipment.

· Change engine and transmission oils.

· Conduct quality checks before returning vehicles.

· Roadworthy Testing

· Adhere to and follow work safety guidelines, report any hazards, and perform general housekeeping and workshop maintenance.

· Quick respond to vehicle breakdown calls for on-site service

· Train other workshop trainee/staff.

Skills and Qualifications

· Australian Qualifications with Minimum Certificate IV or Diploma in Automotive

· 1 years or more experience required in an automotive workshop as a mechanic/technician.

· Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and computerized testing devices.

· Knowledge of working with fluid-powered brakes, steering, and suspension systems.

· Ability to accurately identify mechanical or electrical issues

· Should know safety regulations and practices.

· AC Handling License is regarded but not essential

· Ability to work independently and unsupervised

· Japanese/European car service experience is an asset & will be highly regarded but not essential.
