Legal Assistant - Projects Energy & Infrastructure

Overview

We are seeking an exceptional Legal Assistant to join the Projects, Energy and Infrastructure team in the Melbourne office of a leading international law firm. Supporting two Partners, a Special Counsel, and a Senior Associate, you will be part of a growing and thriving practice, focused on Energy & Infrastructure. You will be joining a friendly, dynamic team of like-minded individuals who share a passion for energy transition and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.

Required Skills

• At least 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant in a similar field
• Strong billing and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate complex relationships and build strong partnerships
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency in legal software and systems, with the ability to learn new technologies quickly

Desirable Skills

• Experience supporting legal teams working in the energy or infrastructure sector
• Knowledge of energy transition and renewable energy projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Other Requirements

• Flexibility to work a mix of days in the office and from home, with a minimum of 1-2 days WFH per week. Your WFH days will not be set days. They must flex around the Partner and practice needs
• Ability to respond promptly to partner requests and deadlines
