As a Paediatric Speech Pathologist with NT Health, you will work as part of a dynamic team delivering high quality, culturally appropriate and effective speech pathology services. Your caseload will include children living in Alice Springs as well as some travel to remote communities in the Central Australia and Barkly regions to deliver outreach services.
As a member of the Children’s Development Team, you will provide multidisciplinary allied health services in urban and remote settings of Central Australia and the Barkly District with an emphasis on early intervention, to optimise a child’s developmental potential and maximise the child’s physical, intellectual, emotional and social wellbeing.
You will have opportunities to expand your clinical and professional skills, work with a range of clinicians, provide support to students and junior colleagues and enhance your ability to service a culturally diverse population.
To be successful, you will have:
Relevant qualifications in Speech Pathology that meets requirements for certified practising membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
Post graduate experience in providing contemporary high level clinical Speech Pathology services to children.
Demonstrated awareness and understanding of Aboriginal culture and proven experience in working effectively with patients and families/carers of diverse cultural and social backgrounds.
Demonstrated ability to provide clinical supervision of students and/or staff and a commitment to professional development.
