Programmed are working with one of the largest Australian agricultural organisations who are currently seeking feedmill hands and farm hands to join their operation near Emerald!

Our client has a rich history and today they own and operate several properties, feedlots and farms across Australia.

Situated near Emerald, the company operates a farm, feedlot and station. As a result, this has opened a variety of opportunities.

As a Feedmill Hand you will be responsible for:

Carryout receival, handling and storage of commodities

Carryout preparation of feedstuffs

Operation of mills, harvestore, tempering system and in-loading when required

Operation of loader for loading feed truck and other heavy machinery including tractors, bobcats etc

Carryout feeding of livestock in accordance with Mill procedures on

Mixing of feed in feed truck

Feeding out of ration

Assist in the maintenance of all mill machinery

Carryout general feedlot/machinery maintenance & cleaning as directed

Maintain a clean hygienic working environment

Inventory control, stocktake and mill/feedlot documentation as required

Carry out all general cleaning and maintenance duties at the Feedmill, lick block and surrounding commodity storage areas.

The Farm Hand position will be focused on broadacre cropping and you will be responsible for:

All aspects of farm work, including land preparation, planting, pruning and slashing

Irrigation maintenance as required

Operating and maintaining machinery including John Deere equipment

Assisting preparation and application of chemicals

Workshop work as required

Farm maintenance including but limited to fencing, earthmoving, construction, bore work

Both roles require 1-2 years of relevant experience and a current drivers’ license.
