Liberty Oil Convenience Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of Viva Energy Australia (ASX: VEA), is currently seeking a Marketing/Pricing Support Coordinator. This high impact role will be key in supporting the commercial performance of the business by analysing market trends, competitor pricing and internal data to inform and execute effective fuel pricing strategies. This position is instrumental in ensuring pricing decisions are data-driven, commercially sound and aligned with the company’s objectives to maximise profitability and maintain strong market competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Fuel Pricing Strategy & Execution
· Analyse market conditions, competitor pricing, and demand patterns to recommend optimal fuel prices.
· Implement daily, weekly and strategic price adjustments across the company’s retail fuel network.
· Ensure pricing aligns with company margin targets, market position and customer demand.
· Rotating weekend work for setting prices required
2. Market & Competitor Analysis
· Monitor real-time fuel price changes using industry pricing tools and competitor reports.
· Identify trends, seasonal fluctuations and external factors (crude oil prices, exchange rates, taxes) impacting fuel costs and Terminal Gate prices
· Provide actionable insights on market positioning and opportunities for margin improvement.
3. Data Analysis & Reporting
· Develop pricing models, dashboards and reports to track fuel price performance and profitability.
· Conduct scenario analysis and forecasting to assess the impact of pricing decisions.
· Collaborate with finance and operations teams to ensure accurate pricing and cost calculations.
4. Compliance & Operational Support
· Ensure fuel pricing adheres to legal, regulatory and company policies.
· Work closely with supply chain, operations and marketing teams to align pricing with inventory and promotional strategies.
· Support system enhancements and automation for pricing processes.
5. Retail Customer Journey Audit:
· Manage and analyze retail customer journey audits across multiple territories, states and sections.
· Develop benchmarking reports to assess performance trends and identify areas for improvement.
· Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve customer experience and operational consistency.
6. Performance Reporting:
· Prepare and deliver the monthly Marketing Board Pack, summarizing key marketing metrics, performance indicators and insights.
· Support senior leadership with data-driven reports and presentations.
7. Regulatory Compliance:
· Complete and submit the quarterly Biofuels Compliance Report, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery in accordance with regulatory requirements.
· Coordinate and oversee the ACAPMA-Assisted Compliance Audits Program, liaising with retail sites and auditors to ensure program success.
· Track audit outcomes, follow-up actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
8 Training & Development:
· Coordinate the ACAPMA Annual Training Program, ensuring national compliance and upskilling across all retail locations.
Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
· 2+ years of experience in pricing analysis, retail fuel, energy, or a similar analytical role.
Technical & Analytical Skills:
· Strong proficiency in Excel, SQL, Power BI, or other data analytics tools.
· Ability to work with large datasets, build pricing models and generate actionable insights.
Business & Communication Skills:
· Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking with a results-driven mindset.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to explain pricing strategies to leadership and operations teams.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment where pricing decisions are time-sensitive.
