The Role
This is a 9–12 month maternity leave contract (duration negotiable) for the role of Events & Marketing Manager.
The primary purpose of this role is to implement and manage existing marketing and event strategies for Worrells Victoria, ensuring continuity and high-quality delivery across all marketing functions. The role focuses on executing business development activities, coordinating internal and external events, supporting national marketing initiatives, and maintaining key stakeholder relationships across Melbourne and regional Victoria.
The following duties are intended as a guide and not an exhaustive list of everything you are required to do.
Duties
- Provide staff with networking opportunities, and report on staff relationship building
- Assist Principals/Managers with business development initiatives
- Execute Victorian events end-to-end (seminars, conferences, cocktail parties, webinars, virtual events etc)
- Manage Worrells website content for Victorian events
- Analyse and report to Principals on events including registrations, attendance, and costings
- Maintain CRM referrer database (training, maximising engagement and use amongst staff)
- Manage Victorian contributions to newsletters and other publications
- Supervise the Marketing Assistant, providing guidance and support as needed
Skills and Qualifications
Knowledge of marketing/events practices and procedures
7+ years’ experience in an events and/or marketing
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and activities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Superior computer skills and knowledge of office software packages
Relevant Degree in Marketing/Events Management is highly desirable
