About the role.

As a Leasing Graduate at Degroup Pty Ltd, you will play a critical role in supporting the leasing team while gaining hands-on experience in retail, office, and industrial property leasing. Based in Melbourne CBD, this entry-level position is designed to provide you with exposure to various aspects of leasing, including preparation of lease offers, presentations, tenant negotiations, market research, and asset management collaboration. You will develop the skills and knowledge needed to advance your career in the property industry.

Key Responsibilities

Leasing Support:

Assist in preparing and negotiating lease agreements and renewals.

Maintain leasing schedules, tracking key dates and milestones.

Liaise with prospective tenants and assist in tenant onboarding processes.

Market Analysis:

Conduct research on market trends, competitor activities, and rental rates.

Prepare reports and presentations to support leasing strategies.

Tenant Relations:

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective tenants.

Support tenant inquiries and ensure timely resolution of issues.

Administrative Tasks:

Update and maintain leasing database.

Prepare correspondence, documentation, and marketing materials for leasing campaigns.

Collaboration:

Work closely with the leasing, property management, operations, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive execution of retail asset strategies.

Attend site inspections and client meetings as required.

Key Selection Criteria

Education and Qualifications:

Recently completed a degree in Property, Real Estate, Business, or a related field.

Driver's licence and car

Skills and Competencies:

Strong communication skills.

Excellent organisational and time management abilities.

Analytical mindset with attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn leasing software.

Personal Attributes:

Proactive and eager to learn.

Strong interest in the property sector.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Experience:

Previous internship or work experience in property, retail, or customer service (desirable but not required).
