Are you an experienced Accounts Receivable professional with a knack for Collections? We are currently seeking a confident and proactive candidate to step into a 7-week temporary role, covering long service leave, at a well-regarded secondary school in Melbourne's northern suburbs.

About the Role:

Working as part of a friendly and supportive finance team, your primary focus will be on Accounts Receivable and Collections. You’ll liaise with families and internal stakeholders to follow up outstanding payments, resolve queries, and ensure accurate receipting and account maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the collections process for outstanding school fees

Respond to enquiries from families regarding payment arrangements or balances

Monitor aged debtors and follow up via phone and email in line with school policy

Issue statements and reminder notices as needed

Process incoming payments and update student fee accounts accurately

Assist with end-of-month reconciliations and reporting

Provide general accounts receivable support as required

About You:

Proven experience in Accounts Receivable, with a strong collections focus

Previous experience working in a school environment (preferred)

Confident phone manner and strong interpersonal skills

Comfortable navigating sensitive conversations around outstanding fees

High attention to detail and accurate data entry skills

Ability to commit to the full 7-week assignment and work fully onsite

Additional Information:

Start date: ASAP or by early July

Duration: 7 weeks (to cover long service leave)

Working arrangements: Fully onsite

Working hours: Monday to Friday, standard school business hours
