Contract/Casual Trainers and Assessors – Aged Care, Education Support, Leadership, Counselling & Computers
Part-time roles commencing July 2025
The role
Northern Beaches & Mosman College (NBMC) is seeking multiple experienced, motivated and engaging Contract or Casual Trainers/Assessors to deliver high-quality training and assessment in the following specialist areas:
• Aged Care
• Education Support
• Leadership & Management
• Counselling
• Computers
The successful candidate/s will deliver part-time nationally accredited courses starting in July 2025. Training is primarily held in person at our Brookvale Campus, with some courses including virtual classroom delivery. No classes are held during NSW school holidays.
Available courses & delivery requirements
Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability) CHC33021 - no classes during school holidays. (Note: trainer must be available to deliver training, in person, at the College's Brookvale Campus.)
Certificate IV in Aging Support CHC43015 - no classes during school holidays. (Note: trainer must be available to deliver training, through a combination of virtual classroom and in person, at the College's Brookvale Campus.)
Certificate IV in School Based Education Support CHC40221 - 2 days per week on campus - Tues & Wed 9.30am to 2.30pm July 2025 - June 2026 - no classes during school holidays. (Note: trainer must be available to deliver training, in person, at the College's Brookvale Campus and conduct workplace visits on Sydney's Northern Beaches.)
Diploma of Leadership and Management BSB50420 - 1 evening per week via virtual classroom - Tues 5.30pm - 8.30pm + 4 scheduled Saturdays on campus 9.30am - 2.30pm - July 2025 - June 2026 - no classes during school holidays. (Note: trainer must be available to deliver training, through a combination of virtual classroom and in person, at the College's Brookvale Campus.)
Diploma of Counselling CHC51015 - 1 day per week on campus - Tues 9.30am - 2.30pm - July 2025 - August 2026 - no classes during school holidays. (Note: trainer must be available to deliver training, in person, at the College's Brookvale Campus and conduct workplace visits on Sydney's Lower North Shore and Northern Beaches.)
Accredited and non-accredited short computer courses including Microsoft Office programs, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator evening and daytime courses at Brookvale Campus. (Note: trainer must be available to deliver training, in person, at the College's Brookvale Campus.)
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Face to face delivery to students
Conducting marking and recording student assessments
Providing student support
Work placement visits (if applicable)
Participate in validation
Maintenance of all aspects of compliance related to working in an RTO environment
Preferred:
Be an experienced trainer/assessor preferably with recent training experience in the qualification working for an RTO or an experienced school teacher at high school level interested in moving into adult education. (Refer to the Credential Policy for required qualifications requirements).
Passionate about adult education and subject matter.
Highly professional with strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
Enthusiastic, well-presented, and self-motivated
Be passionate about the subject matter
Be a well presented, self-motivated individual who is bright and enthusiastic with exceptional interpersonal skills
Have excellent presentation skills; including a positive and professional work manner
Required qualifications:
Appropriate industry qualification and experience as defined by the Standards for RTOs 2025 and relevant Training Package plus relevant training qualification (Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or as defined in the Credential Policy).
