Step into mecwacare Trescowthick Centre, a beautifully designed 60-bed aged care home in the heart of cosmopolitan Prahran, just moments from vibrant cafes, the iconic Malver markets, boutique shops, and public transport. Our unique facility is made up of four warm and welcoming houses, each with its own dining and living areas, surrounded by leafy courtyards. These homes connect to an internal village-style streetscape featuring soaring cathedral-glass ceilings, a central mall, library, kiosk, and an on-site hair and beauty salon—creating a true sense of community and comfort. As our Lifestyle Coordinator, you’ll design and deliver engaging, inclusive programs—from art and music to local outings—helping clients stay active, connected, and inspired. Your creativity and compassion will help shape days filled with meaning and joy.
What you bring:
- Demonstrated ability to assess individual client needs and develop tailored lifestyle programs that support social and emotional wellbeing
- Genuine interest in supporting older people, with a kind understanding of the ageing journey
- You will currently hold a Cert III in Leisure and Lifestyle or a Cert IV in Community Services (Lifestyle and Leisure)/ Diversional Therapy, or an equivalent Certificate IV qualification, OR have a genuine willingness to work toward obtaining Certt IV qualification.
- A motivated and organized team player who enjoys bringing people together and managing activities with care and enthusiasm
- Strong communication skills that help build trust and connection with clients, families, and colleagues
- Sound understanding of the ageing process and a compassionate approach to caring for older adults
- Highly self-motivated with strong organizational skills, including the ability to priorities, delegate, and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Current Australian Driver's License
- Desirable: Current Working with Children Check (WWC)
