About the Position
The Senior Project Officer Construction role is within the Construction Team. The role is responsible for the overall planning scheduling and management of council’s road reseal and kerb repair programs, plus allocated projects within the Project and Capital Works program.
The position requires the coordination of human, physical and financial resources and the provision of specialist technical advice to both internal and external customers and stakeholders.
About You
The successful applicant will possess comprehensive experience and understanding of project management principles and practices, strong contract, financial and risk management experience and principles, coupled with significant experience in the design and costing of annual kerb repair and bitumen reseal programs.
Applicants will need experience in the civil construction industry, self- motivated and with the desire to be a member of a team that prides itself on high quality service delivery. In addition, you will possess strong project and budget management skills, coupled with a proven leadership capability, with an ability to influence people by challenging the way things are done and leading by example.

Key Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience in delivery of kerb repair and road resealing projects and program.
- Proven experience and understanding of project management principles and practices, strong contract, financial and risk management.
- Proven leadership experience for a small team.
- Flexible approach to problem solving, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Strong customer service skills for internal and external stakeholders.
