On Rail Industries is an Australian family-owned company which supply’s a large range of specialised industrial and material handling equipment for the rail industry. We are seeking an experienced LV / HD Mechanic for our Riverstone workshop. The successful applicant will have extensive experience in maintaining and repair of Light motor vehicles, earthmoving, construction and / or material handling equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Repairs and maintenance on the various Hi Rail plant Equipment_ Yanmar 5 & 8 T Excavators, Komatsu 13T Excavators, 4T balloon dumpy & 14T JCB, 12T Hydrema, Volvo Loaders, Monitor EWP, Motor Vehicles Toyota Landcruiser’s, Kenworth & Isuzu Truck’s + trailers and rail trolleys. Generators and air compressors, forklift truck.

• Troubleshoot mechanical faults with the use of OEM diagnostic systems.

• Use and maintain workplace tools and equipment.

• Ability to carry out Field Service work if or when required.

About You:

• Light / Heavy Duty Mechanic or similar Trade Certificate.

• LF Licence an advantage.

• Self-motivated with excellent work ethic.

• Work autonomously.

• Strong focus on Safety, Quality & Customer Service.

• Sound troubleshooting and diagnostics skills.

• Good knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.

• Good time keeping and job recording skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
