About the role

Sheridan Road Rail is seeking a skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Riverstone, NSW. As a fulltime Heavy Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our heavy vehicles and mobile plant, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

What you'll be doing

Conduct scheduled maintenance and inspections on a variety of heavy vehicles and mobile plant, including Trucks, excavators, MEWPs, Rail Trailers, and other construction machinery

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on diesel-powered equipment

Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation using systems on iPads.

Collaborate with the wider team to ensure the efficient and safe operation of all machinery

Adhere to all safety protocols

What we're looking for

Formal trade qualification as Plant Mechanic or Heavy Diesel Mechanic or a related field

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Plant Mechanic or Heavy Diesel Mechanic

Extensive knowledge of trucks and mobile plant, including maintenance and repair

Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems

Strong attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
