About the role

Johnston Plant and Heavy Vehicle Repairs PTY LTD' is seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team in Port Stephens/Newcastle. This is a full-time role responsible for the maintenance and repair of a wide range of heavy vehicles and plant machinery. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our client's fleets.

What you'll be doing:

Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on heavy vehicles, machinery, and equipment

Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues

Completing detailed work orders and maintaining accurate records

Collaborating with the wider team to ensure the timely completion of all repair work

Adhering to all workplace health and safety policies and procedures

Providing exceptional customer service to our clients

What we're looking for:

Formal qualifications in automotive or heavy vehicle mechanics

Experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Japanese, euro and American

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

Air Conditioning Experience

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with precision

Good communication and customer service skills

A commitment to workplace safety and a proactive approach to compliance
