Working closely with the CTO/CEO of a small but impressive digital transformation consultancy, you will be the senior technical resource for the engineering team.

The CTO/CEO is highly regarded as a great leader, with many people progressing and thriving under his leadership. He is incredibly supportive, very technically savvy, balanced and calm under pressure and generally a nice guy to be around.

You will bring clarity to complexity, mentor the team and work closely with the Solution Architect from early conception through to successful delivery.

You won't be locked into red tape or rigid frameworks. You will have high levels of autonomy and will be trusted to make the right call.

Fully remote working is available for anyone living on the East Coast of Australia (for time purposes). The team do get together for team events and catch-ups. On those occasions, transport and accommodation (if necessary) will be provided.

The pace of work is fast and fluid. Delivery teams get things done at pace. However, priorities can change on short notice.

Your weekly split will be roughly 50-80% billable delivery, with the remainder allocated to team support and skilling.

The technical environment focuses on no-code and low-code solutions to streamline and automate complex business problems.

The company is an authorised partner for many technology providers, including Microsoft, AWS, ServiceNow, Zapier and Workato.

Requirements

6+ years in software development, with 2+ years in a senior or lead role.

Strong across modern web stacks (e.g., React, Node, Python, .NET, etc.). Able to assess architectural fit.

Understand when to optimise vs. when to ship. Values pragmatism over perfection.

Comfortable with changing requirements and ambiguity; able to create clarity for others.

Enjoys helping others grow. Can explain complex topics simply.
