About the Role
Our client is a multinational organisation that is seeking a high-calibre Accountant to join their Melbourne-based Finance team, offering flexible work arrangements, including the option of permanently working fulltime from home.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll lead statutory and consolidated reporting, external audits, and tax compliance, ensuring adherence to IFRS, SOX, and internal governance. This role is key to upholding financial integrity and supporting strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all regional reporting (monthly, semi-annual, annual)
• Consolidate financials across regional entities
• Lead external audits, support internal audit processes
• Drive financial stewardship and cost control
• Ensure IFRS, SOX, and company policy compliance
• Oversee tax reporting and compliance (BAS, FBT, TEA)
• Review general ledger transactions and reconciliations
• Support business development, including integrations
• Deliver accounting reports and business intelligence
• Contribute to financial risk management
• Assist with financial planning, analysis, and modelling
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance finance culture

Candidate Profile
After commencing your career in Audit or Business Services or in a similar position within a medium-large organisation, you will possess excellent knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, SOX and have strong consolidations and financial accounting skills. Ideally CPA/CA qualified, you will also have developed a high level of proficiency with MS Excel and the capability to analyse large sets of data as well as the confidence and communication skills to partner with stakeholders across Finance and externally.
